Patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease should exercise extra caution when considering scalp tattoo. Here are some recommendations:
- Hypertension Patients: Ensure stable blood pressure and undergo micropigmentation under a doctor's guidance.
- Diabetes Patients: Due to slower wound healing, be particularly mindful of infection risks and proceed when blood sugar is well-controlled.
- Heart Disease Patients: Consult a cardiologist to ensure the micropigmentation process does not impact heart health.
In summary, these patients must consult professional doctors to ensure safety before deciding on micropigmentation.
How long can scalp micropigmentation colors last?
- NPM micropigmentation pigments are plant-based and specifically for the scalp.
- After the procedure, the color can last 3-5 years, which we call semi-permanent.
- The pigment gradually fades based on the individual's skin renewal rate. It does not harm healthy hair follicles or affect hair growth.
- Permanent pigments are chemical-based and may damage hair follicles, so they are not recommended.
- Scalp micropigmentation has a history of several decades. It was not popular before due to imperfections in technique and pigments. However, NPM has improved the safety of traditional SMP techniques.
Why not use permanent pigments?
- Natural Fading: NPM semi-permanent pigments fade naturally over time, allowing adjustments and updates as clients age or change hairstyles, preventing unnatural appearances.
- Safety: NPM semi-permanent pigments are plant-based, causing less skin irritation and reducing the risk of allergies and side effects.
- Technological Updates: With the continuous advancement of NPM micropigmentation technology, semi-permanent pigments allow easier adjustments and improvements, maintaining optimal results.
- Reversibility: If clients are dissatisfied with the results, semi-permanent pigments are easier to modify or remove, offering greater flexibility and adjustability.
These factors make semi-permanent pigments a more suitable choice in micropigmentation, ensuring natural results, safety, and flexibility.
Does NPM-HFS damage the scalp, hair follicles, or hair?
- NPM-HFS is a non-invasive technique that does not damage the hair, scalp, or hair follicles.
- Using patented roller needles specifically for the scalp, the pigments are precisely injected into the epidermis layer of the scalp without harming the hair follicles or natural hair.

Does NPM micropigmentation hurt?
- During the NPM -HFS process, you may feel mild discomfort or a tingling sensation, but it is not overly intense. This largely depends on an individual's pain tolerance and the area being treated.
- To alleviate discomfort, the Scalp Tattoo Specialist will use a soothing balm to make the process more comfortable. Most people can tolerate this mild pain and quickly return to normal activities after the procedure.
How long does NPM - HFS take?
- The duration of NPM -HFS depends on the treatment area and individual circumstances, usually taking 1 to 3 hours per session. Small areas may only require 1 hour, while larger areas may take longer.
- The entire process is relatively 3-5 times faster than SMP scalp micropigmentation.
- Many clients choose NPM -HFS because of its quick treatment time.
Additionally, preparation time is needed before the micropigmentation session, so please consult with us beforehand.
Will there be redness or swelling after scalp tattoo? Is there a recovery period?
- Mild Redness and Swelling: The scalp may experience mild redness and swelling after micropigmentation, which typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours.
- Quick Recovery: The recovery period is relatively short, with no need for extended rest.
- Return to Work the Next Day: Most people can return to work the next day, with no impact on daily life.
Overall, NPM - HFS offers the advantage of quick recovery, allowing you to resume daily activities easily.
Why can't you wash your hair for four days after micropigmentation?
- Ensure Pigment Penetration and Stability: To allow the pigment to fully penetrate and fixate in the skin, avoiding instability and unevenness caused by moisture, shampoo products, or scalp friction.
- Allow Initial Healing: Give the scalp enough time for initial healing, reducing infection risk and avoiding irritation to the freshly treated skin.
- After 48 Hours: Under normal skin conditions, healing is sufficient to use saline and distilled water.
- Dry Shampoo Provided: We offer free dry shampoo powder for clients. This is standard medical practice; do not wash your hair immediately after micropigmentation.
